The master planning process is a critical opportunity to create a clear, actionable “road map” for future facilities investments. A thorough and robust master plan will allow your organization to achieve the following objectives:
* Meet strategic goals related to the needs of your patient population and necessary service lines.
* Promote the highest and best use of all of your building and site resources.
* Accommodate and align new and existing programs for maximum efficiency.
* Preserve flexibility and options for future growth and change.
* Inform and enable you to make prudent short and long-term financial decisions.
* Avoid undesirable “downstream” consequences of program and building investments.
* Contribute to the attraction and retention of physicians and staff.
* Inspire stakeholders to further support your organization and strengthen your brand.
We will guide you through a 7-step master planning process that includes the appropriate level of rigor and creative, innovative thinking to explore all the “what-if” scenarios. During these days of competing needs and limited financial resources, optimizing space utilization is paramount. All too often, healthcare facilities are believed to be undersized, lacking capacity for additional patient volumes. We will demonstrate solutions for process and space optimization utilizing lean process improvements, patient volume data analysis, and simulation modeling to meet your short and long-term strategic goals.
