Our goal is to support better engagement through a combination of both the human touch and through a digitally connected experience throughout the entire health care system. Enhancing the ways we engage providers is essential to enhancing the ways we engage patients. As such, this session will focus on a variety of physician collaboration and engagement strategies CVS Health is employing that are transforming our ability to make care local, make it simple and improve health.

Presenters: Kim Henderson, MD, JD & Jeff Garbe, R.Ph

Dr. Kimberly Henderson the Senior Medical Director of Health System Alliances division of CVS Health is a health care executive with over ten years of experience in the retail health care space. She leads a team of pharmacy directors who collaborate with affiliate partners to implement CVS Health solutions to support their population health goals including medication adherence and opioid stewardship.

In addition, Dr. Henderson is the regional medical director for Minute Clinic retail health clinics which provide walk-in medical care in over 1,100 clinics across the country. She collaborates with nurse practitioners working in the clinics and co-chairs the Minute Clinic Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.

Dr. Henderson is a practicing emergency medicine physician with hospital privileges at Mount Sinai Medical Center located in Manhattan, NY.

Dr. Henderson graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in emergency medicine at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Dr. Henderson earned her Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.

Jeff Garbe, R.Ph is a licensed pharmacist and serves as Senior Director of Health System Alliances with CVS Health. His responsibilities involve collaborating together with physicians and health care executives improving medication adherence and health outcomes in support of health systems’ clinical strategies and population health goals. He joined CVS Health in 1998 and has held a variety of leadership positions in the areas of clinical consulting, physician strategy, clinical marketing, sales operations and corporate social responsibility and philanthropy.

Jeff graduated from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1988 and has practiced in various disciplines of the profession including retail pharmacy, hospital, institutional pharmacy and prescription benefit management.
