Katy Reed is an associate principal at ECG Management Consultants. In an era characterized by collaboration and affiliation among healthcare practices, Katy’s clients value her extensive experience in hospital-physician alignment and business planning assistance. Katy has facilitated a number of hospital-physician transactions, including the acquisition and integration of multiple specialty groups and their associated ancillary services (e.g., infusion therapy) into a large medical center. She has substantial experience developing alignment models, designing funds flow and governance structures, conducting business plan and feasibility assessments, supporting physician practice valuations, facilitating hospital-physician negotiations, and providing ongoing integration assistance. Katy also focuses on the areas of strategic planning, hospital/physician alignment, transaction assistance, and service line development.

Alex Muckerman, a senior consultant at ECG Management Consultants, is a business administration professional who specializes in ambulatory strategy and clinic operations. Alex has a passion for studying research-driven business theory and adds value to project teams by using this information to apply best practices that have proven successful both within the healthcare sector and externally in other industries. His knowledge base, coupled with his experience in performance optimization, patient access improvement, clinic operations management and provider compensation administration, makes Alex a valuable asset when it comes to designing practical solutions to complex problems.
