Strategic planning for healthcare facilities without focused alignment of organizational and real estate strategy is no longer a cogent approach for healthcare professionals. An increasingly complex and competitive environment requires continuous and intelligent evaluation of real estate market opportunities and new medical facility typologies. In this presentation, we’ll investigate what we can learn from some of the most forward-thinking health systems, medical alliances, and academic medical centers’ approaches to real estate development and service deployment strategies – while also exploring how the consumer drive for convenience, experience and access is fundamentally changing the industry. Finally, we’ll explore how some organizations are creating operational synergies between strategic planning and real estate strategy by utilizing aggregated public and proprietary data.
Presenter: Fady Barmada
Fady Barmada started his career as an architect and designer who was fascinated by how the physical environment impacts the human experience. He has carried that interest through his 20 years’ experience as a teacher of design theory, healthcare consultant and designer, and finally as the Chief Strategy Officer for Array Analytics. While he was trained as an architect at Carnegie Mellon and University of Pennsylvania, Fady went on to also earn an MBA from NYU, allowing him to pair his love for design with a keen understanding of the complex business decisions that stakeholders face when planning or renovating medical facilities. In this webinar, Fady will share with us what he has discovered about using technology to extend the human network and uncover opportunities for a better experience, better business model, and improved ROI.
