I have been a member of NESHS longer than I have been a member of any organization. Initially, the benefit was meeting people who lead the healthcare industry and learning from them. Over the years my NESHS membership became much more.

I am reading How Women Rise, and there are some interesting points about what leads to success. Some of what has made me successful to this point – hard work and determination, communication skills, being the technical expert – now needs to shift a little to the backburner so I can focus on deepening relationships and continuing to be a trusted adviser/partner to my colleagues and clients.

I get to help health systems communicate and educate patients to improve their health and keep them safe. I also get to travel to great cities and meet with amazing clients. That part has been on hold since March 2020, but I hope to get back on the road in 2021! Learn more
