Prudence MacKinney has been involved in the Healthcare Industry for twenty five years. She is presently the Vice President of Planning and Professional Services at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro Vermont, where she has been employed since 1989. Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is an acute care community hospital which was chosen as a Solucient Top 100 Hospital in 2005.

At BMH Prudence is the administrative leader for Public Relations/ Marketing, Laboratory, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, Pharmacy, and Occupational Health. She is directly responsible for Strategic Planning, program development and CON. Prudence is currently coordinating a $12 million Outpatient building construction and renovation project. In the past she oversaw the employed physician practices and staffed the physician recruitment function.

Prior to coming to Brattleboro Memorial, Prudence was a Consulting Associate for Jennings, Ryan Kolb and Company in Northampton MA and the Administrative Director at Farren Memorial Hospital’s Health Center (internal medicine, pediatric and psychological associates’ group practices

Prudence received a B.A. in Political Science and Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.S. in Public Health, Health Administration at the University of Massachusetts. She is a member of the New England Society for Healthcare Strategy, a member of the NSO Board of VT Associations of Hospitals and Healthcare Systems and a Fellow the American College of Healthcare Executives.
